Celebrating the joy of family at APS FamFest 2024

Coming together as a community and family

What made this year’s APS FamFest particularly special is that it’s the first time since Covid that we were able to physically come together as one big APS family.

For the children, it was a chance to connect with their peers and teachers, while also enjoying playtime and various bonding activities with their extended family members: siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and of course, parents! For parents, it was more than just participating in activities with their children; it was an opportunity to meet other parents and children from our other schools as one APS community. We even had alumni who came back to join us! They had the chance to reunite with former teachers and classmates and relish in the activities and games.

APS FamFest wasn’t just about the activities and fun, but it was also a time where family bonds were strengthened and cherished memories were made.

Cara Lee, Director of Early Childhood Development Centres – Academic Services, said, “Community is everyone of us here. No walls, no barriers – it doesn’t matter where you’re from, what you need, what you want, we’re all in it together. That’s a community – interdependent on each other, loving each other, making new friends.”

A big thank you to all parents and children who turned up and we look forward to seeing you again at our next APS FamFest!
